Litigation
Our litigation department handles a wide range of contested litigation matters. Lawyers from the litigation department have represented clients at pre-trials, arbitrations, mediations, motion hearings and trials. The majority of the cases in litigation involve secured transactions and breach of contract, although the department has successfully handled a range of types of case from personal injury to infringement of trade name. Typical cases include prosecution of contested foreclosures through to judgment and sale and replevin of collateral such as motor vehicles and machinery.

Knowledge
Lawyers in the litigation department have successfully handled cases pending in the Federal Courts, including adversary proceedings in bankruptcy court relating to the dischargeability of various debts in bankruptcy. Also, the department handled various types of cases involving creditor’s rights in which federal jurisdiction is founded upon diversity. All legal work at the appellate level is handled by the litigation department.
